Hotels in Pesaro Urbino
Urbino is a city in the Marche in Italy, southwest of
Pesaro. It has retained some of its picturesque medieval aspect on steep
sloping ground, though tourists' carparks occupy the former fields
below. Urbino is home to the University of Urbino, founded in 1564, and
is the seat of the Archbishop of Urbino. Nowadays Urbino is Marche's most immediately likeable
town, saved from an existence as a museum-piece by its lively
university. There's a refreshing, energetic feel to the place, plenty of
conducive places to eat and drink, and, although its nightlife is hardly
wild, a few bars host local bands and the like.
PESARO
Pesaro is a town and comune in the Italian region of
the Marche, capital of the Pesaro e Urbino province, on the Adriatic.
Most of the tourists who come to Pesaro visit for a
beach holiday, attracted from its long stretch of sandy beach and an old
centre full of small craft and design shops.
