religious building in Europe. Fully built in Candoglia marble,
it was begun in 1386 and finished after six centuries, in 1966,

metres, width is 93 metres on the transept and its highest spire
is 108 metres tall. The Duomo is the most important evidence of
Gothic international architecture in Italy, it is a perfect mix
of nordic and local features. The beginning of its construction
saw the cooperation of architects from Lombardy, France and
Germany as well.
