Latium - Latium is a region of central Italy,
has great importance for history, art, architecture, archaeology,
religion, and culture in general. The immense patrimony of the city of
Rome forms only a part of the treasures spread over the hundreds of
towns, villages, abbeys, churches, monuments, and other sites of the
region. Latium hotels - In this region no matter
whether you go north or south along the Latium coast, you will find
wonderful sandy beaches and rocky coves for all tastes, delightful
resort towns like Capalbio and San Felice Circeo, Grecian fishing
villages like Sperlonga, or ancient strongholds like Gaeta. You can even
try some skiing in the beautiful mountains that loom overhead. Hotels in
Latium - The region has a moderate climate of
Mediterranean type; in the mountain zones the climate is characterized
by cold winters and abundant precipitation especially in autumn and
winter. Bed and breakfasts - The agriculture is
more developed in the plain seaside zones thanks to the favourable
climate and availability of space. The mountain agriculture is limited
by vegetable and fruit production, as well as wine grape cultivation and
wine. The breeding is specialized on sheep; in the lower Latium there is
also the breeding of buffalos (from which milk is produced famous cheese
"mozzarella" of high quality) and cattle for meat.
